Yesterday, the headlines of the daily - Times Of India , concerns me. Headline is "World Bank bans Wipro".
The role of media is to report sensational news and not to make ordinary news sensational. This is what Times Of India has done here. Daily Hindu has behaved maturedly here, it has not reported this news in the first page itself, which this news rightly does not deserve. Under the latest Satyam development, this news will mislead people that Wipro will follow like Satyam, which is not the case. I'm angry on this reporting may be becuase i'm a wiprorite and i belive i know the fact, but the truth is this is unfair reporting to gain more ciruclation by Times of India. Claiming to be the No 1 newspaper in India (even world), this doesn't add up the credit to the newspaper. You can play straight the still win - any game, be its business!

First Impression - Japan
I went to Japan in March, 2008 along with my wife. The visit was supposed to be for 4 months initially and later extended. It was my wife's first abroad visit and obviously she was excited and also it was shared in their family.
The first impression I had, when i boarded the flight from kula lumpur to Narita Airport (Tokyo) is the kindness exhibited by the Japanese people . If i can say, they were shy, very quiet and kind this was the impression i got when i boarded the flight. They were opposite to American's or Europeans, who are load, flamboyant and aggressive. Next in the flight the other interesting thing we observed were, Japanese eating long spagatti (noodles) by chop stick, very quietly.
We reached the airport at 8
PM, and we were to catch a bus , which will take around 3 hours to reach our place in Tokyo. We looked for dinner in airport, couldn't confirm whether the food was vegetarian, and we encountered the language issue in Japan - a beginning now!. We boarded the bus towards our place, Tachikawa. Another interesting thing, there was a small toilet in the bus, when i entered i noticed it was smaller than the toilet in the flight. I couldn't stand erect, because the ceiling was very low, barely i could stand, wondered can a toilet be made so small ! - Another aspect of Japanese culture "Compactness". Like their physical build everything they build is compact, which i will dwell in detail later. We reached our hotel (service appartment in fact) and there was a colluge staying there with his wife , who gave us dinner quite late in that night. The hotel was quite cramped with 2 rooms and an attached kitchen. and the bath and toilet was very tight in space for us! and the we started our first night in Tokyo - in a cold weather outside , awaiting another interesting dawn!.
